Bauchi: Accident claims 6 lives at Buzaye village

Six family members have lost their lives in a car accident in Bauchi. The accident occurred at Buzaye village in Bauchi local government area of Bauchi State while the family are returning from a journey.

The Bauchi command’s Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Head of Operations, Paul Gua disclosed this in Bauchi Thursday saying that the accident took place around 9 pm at the village called Buzaye.

According to him, the accident occurred when a tipper with a faulty headlight with registration number BAU 900 XR rammed into the Honda Civic vehicle with registration number AM 163S AP conveying the six members of the family.‎

“The Tipper collided with the Honda Civic vehicle containing the family of six because it headlight was faulty. All the occupants of the Honda civil vehicle died. The victims include two male children, one adult male and three adult females. We learnt a woman, her two male children and two other relations were involved in the crash that claimed their lives,” he said.

He said officials of the FRSC went to the scene of the crash after receiving information, evacuated and deposited the corpses at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH) Bauchi.
