
A relation of Professor Ben Ayade, Cross Rivers State Governor, Francis Ayeda, who is in EFCC custody in Port Harcourt over an alleged contract scam is yet to meet the bail condition given to him, a competent EFCC source informed Daily Trust in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
Francis Ayeda, who was arrested on Tuesday, was given an administrative bail but he is yet to meet the bail condition.
The bail condition was not disclosed to our reporter, but EFCC source said the Governor’s relation will not regain his freedom until the conditions are met.
Francis Ayade, the Managing Director of both Leophina Nig Ltd and Hally Brown International Ltd was involved in a contract scam of N2.4bn.
He allegedly collected the money from the Federation account but diverted the fund into his company account.
His Hally Brown Company was in particular given N2.4bn road construction in 2011.
He was said to have obtained a loan of N350,000,000 for the project from a bank but transferred the unused loan into mobility project.
