All Progressives Congress, APC, treasurer in Ekiti State, Elder Moses Adeoye, has been killed by gunmen who invaded his residence while eaten his supper

Adeoye was killed on Wednesday night while eating at his residence in Otun-Ekiti, a town in Moba Local Government Area of the state.

The treasurer had served as the chairman of the APC in the local government before his recent emergence as the state’s Treasurer of the APC in Ekiti State.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ekiti State command, Mr. Caleb Ikechukwu, said the police had launched investigation into the case. The case has already been reported with the police and our men have swung into action.

“We have started our investigation to make sure the perpetrators are arrested and brought to book.

“We commiserate with his family and assured the people of Ekiti state that the police are on top of this matter.”

The state’s Public Relations Officer of the APC, Ade Ajayi, described his death as “sad.”

Ajayi said the deceased was on the entourage during Governor Kayode Fayemi’s ‘Thank You’ visits to Ekiti North and South Senatorial Districts in Ido and Ikere-Ekiti on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Ekiti State APC has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late treasurer Elder Moses Adeoye who was assassinated by an unknown gun men.

Consoling with the local government, party executives and members in OTUN- EKITI, the State Chairman, Barrister Paul Omotoso expressed shock and sadness about the devastating news,adding that none of it’s members was safe because it could happen to any of them.

Barrister Omotoso described him as responsible,honest,committed party man&agile while,praying that such would not happen again.

He further described the horrible incident as a terrible blow to Governor Kayode Fayemi, APC members and the people of Moba, saying the case would be investigated and the perpetrators would be brought to book.

Responding,The Party chairman in the area,Mr Femi Adeyeye described the demise of Elder Moses as a rude shock to all APC members and people in the community and prayed that God would prevent the reoccurrence of it the area.

While maintaining that God would sustain and uphold the party,he expressed appreciation for the visit and appealed to them not to forget the family that the great politician left behind.

At the palace of Oba Oore of Otun, OBA ADEDAPO OLADELE POPOOLA, Barrister Omotoso admonished the king to take solace in God, praying that would grant the community the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He maintained further that, investigations about the pain would be done and culprits would not go unpunished according to the law.

Responding, Oba popoola who was in a pensive mood thanked the party executives for their visit.
