Nigeria which retains the prestigious position as Africa’s largest economy and occupies a pride of place as the 27th world’s biggest economy doubtless has the potentials not only to lead Africa but to lead the world.

The only problem staring us ominously in the face is decades of poor planning and failed leadership.

Today, official figures released and published on Swedish Nomad by Trading Economics macro models show that Nigeria is Africa’s richest country by GDP and richer than the nation of Italy, Sweden, Denmark etc – (*in GDP and not by GDP per capita pls! (PPP) – because of Nigeria’s population which is now over 200 million as against Italy’s 60.48 million as of 2018.

Nigeria’s GDP as of the last quarter of 2019 stood at $500 billion US Dollars while Italy’s stood at $495.811 billion US Dollars making Nigeria richer than Italy ( *in terms of GDP.*)

We, therefore cannot continue to brood over psst mistakes without taking urgent steps to correct these and plan for tomorrow.

Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed both man & God! It is for you to know this under the existing circumstances and engage the reverse gear before we all find ourselves in dishonourable graves if one may borrow a hackneyed quotation from Shakespeare.

Like I did say a while ago, Nigeria has the potentials to lead the world if our resources are in the right hands and properly harnessed.

The APC at the centre and at the state of Edo, one of the sub-national units that make up the Federation of Nigeria are tarred with the same brush and therefore birds of a feather.

We must disengage ourselves from their lead or brave for even darker times!
