BRAND Paul Pogba is developing nicely.
The Man United ace’s clothing range with Adidas is the latest indication that the French playmaker is becoming a fashion icon.
And season 2 of his Capsule Collection isn’t just for the ultimate Pogba superfan, it’s just the sort of clobbber that sets the mercurial ace apart from the rest in the fashion stakes.
Now we’ve seen the 24-year-old has a penchant for fashion, rocking Balmain trackies to training, as well as lugging around his own personalised pillow and luggage set with his ‘PP’ initials emblazoned on the front.
But sadly those items aren’t available in the shops just yet. However, this collection of merch is… and it just shows that Pogba is ready to become a brand and join the ranks of Cristiano Ronaldo and Michael Jordan.
Here’s what available:
TANGO PAUL POGBA GRAPHIC JERSEY
A slim-fit, but forgiving long-length sleeveless tee, it’s as much a top to wear smartly as it is with trackie bottoms.
With a ‘PP’ logo on the chest and ‘Paris’ splashed across the middle of it, Paul is happy to keep his heritage alive for the sake of fashion.
TANGO PAUL POGBA SWEATSHIRT
A subtle bit of ‘PP’ branding is plastered on the chest of the jersey, while this lightweight garment is fashionable as well as the perfect workout accompaniment during the winter months. It’s a little steep, mind, but durable.
TANGO PAUL GRAPHIC TEE
Style comes first for Pogba, and with ‘MCMXCIII BÁTI ET FORGE’ written across this tee, Pogba’s battle-cry is loud and clear. Standing for ‘Built and Wrought,’ it’s as solid as the big man.
TANGO PAUL POGBA SWEATPANTS
Pogba always manages to look cool in trackies, and these well-fitted, pocket and ankle-zipped joggers are just what he would be clad in. There’s a reflective Paul Pogba logo on the right leg for good-measure too.
TANGO PAUL POGBA BOMBER JACKET
Pogba will likely see this as the perfect accompaniment for the winter months during the busy Christmas period. It’s ‘PP’ ready and the hood is fleece-layered. Will Jose Mourinho let him wear it on the team bus?
PP ACE 17.1 TRAINERS
Another impressive part of Pog’s signature collection, they have a boost outsole that’s meant to be boss for playing street football. Equally, they’ll look just as smart with a pair of jeans and a hoodie.
But the real clincher is ‘POGBOOM’ stitched into the back.
PP ACE 17 PLUS TRAINERS
The high-end trainer of the two, the 17 Plus also has ‘POGBOOM’ stitched on it. Knowing fashion and hip-hop mix shows brand Pogba is in full swing, they look just as impressive as Kanye West’s Yeezys.
PAUL POGBA LIMITED EDITION BALL
A light ball, great for wet surfaces because of its polyester cover, it really looks the part. Maybe Pep Guardiola would be happy swapping this ball for the Mitre Delta Legend Carabao Cup effort he detests so much?
PAUL POGBA BACKPACK
It’s the standout piece for all Pogba aficionados, and it’s made of 100 genuine leather, hence the hefty price. Only gold will do, so it’s fit for a king Pogba.
PAUL POGBA CAP
Having your own fashion brand means you style what you want, which is just why Pogba has a leather baseball cap in his Capsule Collection.
It’s the ultimate indulgence, but if he has his hair looking sharp he won’t be wearing it in a hurry.
Since signing for Man United in a record deal, Pogba has gone from strength to strength as a fashion icon — and he even has his own customised plane with his initials on it.
And back in the summer, Pogba landed in China to launch his Capsule Collection line and accessories in front of scores of adoring fans, with brand Pogba high on the agenda.
It’s all part of being a forward-thinking fashion/sports star, and it’s clear to see that Pogba is ready to take on the Air Jordan and CR7 brands for his Zoolander close-up.
