Following the continuous detention of Sheikh El-Zakzaky, his supporters under the auspices of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), yesterday, in Abuja, staged another protest, demanding the release of their leader.

The protest disrupted vehicular and business activities, as the group, which walked from Maitama District down to Wuse and Area 1, insisted their leader had not done anything to warrant his continuous detention.

A release signed by Abdullahi Muhammad, on behalf of the Academic Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, accused President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Security Adviser (NSA) of trying to kill El-Zakzaky.

“President Buhari and his National Security Adviser (NSA), Mohammed Babagana Monguno, have plotted to use the cover of the elections to kill Sheikh Zakzaky in the detention facility.

“The international community should hold Buhari and the NSA responsible, should anything happen to him,” he said.
